On Tuesday April 28, 2026, the Kiwanis Club of West Geauga honored the West Geauga High School students of the month by presenting them with a certificate and $50.00 gift card. The parents and even some grandparents were treated to a delicious dinner from Chesterland’s own Guido’s Pizzaria.
Director of Career Pathways/Connections at the WEST GEAUGA LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, and Kiwanis member Jim Kish, along with Kiwanis member Mike Kilroy, presented the awards. Jim interviewed each student, who presented interesting facts about their favorite subjects in school, as well as their favorite movies, music, and other fun facts.
The students were asked by Jim, who they admired most. All the students mentioned their parents. THANK YOU, PARENTS!
We could not honor your students without you.
The students receiving rewards were Eve Carty, Jenna Aquila, Mavric Milnar, Madison Hall, Cassia Rogers, Gabriella Black, and Andrew Arra. The group picture includes West Geauga Kiwanis President Robert Schwarz.

On Monday, March 23, 2026, a group of West Geauga KIwanians headed to the Ronald McDonald House on Euclid Avenue across from the Cleveland Clinic.
Ronald McDonald House provides comfort, care, and support for families with children who are sick around the world.
The Kiwanians had a guided tour of this beautiful facility that houses family members with children in the Cleveland Clinic and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. It provides a more than comfortable place for families to gather and stay. They provide meals, indoor play areas for the kids as well as an outdoor recreation area.
Our experienced Kiwanis cooks (we served 1800 people pancakes the day before) prepared a meal of pierogis, chicken paprikash, flank steak, and kielbasa. We also prepared fresh vegetables for a salad bar.
We were guided by Chef Ray, who oversees the kitchen at Ronald McDonald House.
Thank you to all at the Ronald McDonald House who allowed us to participate in the Kiwanis mission to serve and help children.
