West Geauga Kiwanis Hosts Division Meeting

On June 10, 2026, the West Geauga Kiwanis Club hosted the Division meeting for Kiwanis clubs in Division 22. These clubs all over Northeast Ohio met at Eddy Fruit Farm in Chesterland, Ohio. Eddy Fruit Farm is the summer home of the Kiwanis Club of West Geauga. Leaders from these clubs each touted the many projects that they are doing in their local communities.

The barbecue dinner was headed up by the renowned Chef Les Scott, a member of the West Geauga Club.

The Highlight of the evening was the performance of Hearts for Music.

They welcome musicians of all ages and abilities to perform together as a united ensemble, transforming disabilities into abilities. The organization operates heavily in the Chesterland and greater Northeast Ohio region, hosting local performances and community workshops. Many members of the West Geauga Kiwanis Aktion Club are members.

The Kiwanis Club of West Geauga donated $500 to Hearts for Music, the check was presented by President Robert Schwarz.

KIWANIS HONORS WEST GEUAGA STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

On Tuesday April 28, 2026, the Kiwanis Club of West Geauga honored the West Geauga High School students of the month by presenting them with a certificate and $50.00 gift card. The parents and even some grandparents were treated to a delicious dinner from Chesterland’s own Guido’s Pizzaria.

Director of Career Pathways/Connections at the WEST GEAUGA LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, and Kiwanis member Jim Kish, along with Kiwanis member Mike Kilroy, presented the awards. Jim interviewed each student, who presented interesting facts about their favorite subjects in school, as well as their favorite movies, music, and other fun facts.

The students were asked by Jim, who they admired most. All the students mentioned their parents. THANK YOU, PARENTS!

We could not honor your students without you.

The students receiving rewards were Eve Carty, Jenna Aquila, Mavric Milnar, Madison Hall, Cassia Rogers, Gabriella Black, and Andrew Arra. The group picture includes West Geauga Kiwanis President Robert Schwarz.
